Dersin Amaç ve İçeriği

Course Objectives: Mapping with basic concepts used in cartography, learn the general principles of the thematic and topographic map make.
Course Content: Description of cartography and map, classification cartography, historical will development of cartography, what map projections are,topographic and thematic maps make, information about the construction of topographic maps in Turkey is giving.

2) Learns definition of cartography, historical development of cartography, classification of cartography.
3) Learns the map, scale, layout, features of maps, the concept of accuracy in the map, the types of scales.
4) Gains knowledge of what map projections are and coordinate transformations.
5) Have knowledge about topographic map making, topographic map types, representation of symbols on topographic map, points to be considered while making topographic map.
