Course Objectives: |
Students taking the course are expected:
• To understand how the crisis could occur and effect an organization and its stakeholders,
• To gain the skills which help to determine the possible crisis management strategies and communicate them with the related parties,
• To be able to make an assessment on the effectiveness of the crisis management process. |
Course Content: |
This course is an introduction to the internationalization of the public relations and communication process. Students would have a knowledge of the situations defined as crisis, its reasons, features, types and processes, how it could be managed before, after and during its occurence, how it could be organized, re-enginering, reputation, risk and problem management, proactive and reactive approaches through theoretical information and sample cases. They would also gain the information and skills of how a crisis management could be communicated both inside and outside through a good public relation. |
