| Transfer between graduate programs, student admission through re-registration and exemption procedures:
(1) Students who have successfully completed the courses in the curriculum of at least one semester in which they are registered at the university or at another university can apply for lateral transfer to the graduate programs at the university.
(2) Programs where lateral transfers can be made: their quotas and lateral transfer conditions are determined by the decision of the Senate.
(3) Applications for lateral transfer are made to the Registrar's Office. The applicant must be successful in the evaluation made by the lateral transfer commission established by the institute board of directors.
(4) The credit and non-credit course obligations required for the completion of the program, the duration to be granted and other issues are determined by the proposal of the department head and the decision of the institute board of directors. The lateral transfer commission may recommend additional courses/courses to candidates, provided that they do not exceed one third of the total course credits required by the candidates. Students must complete the additional courses by the end of the study period.
(5) In case of application, students who have been accepted with a lateral transfer may be exempted from the courses they have been successful in during their education in the institutes they came from by transferring with the proposal of the head of the department / department and the approval of the institute board of directors. The credits of the courses that the candidates will be exempted from cannot exceed half of the total course credits they must take.
(6) If the student who is admitted to a foreign language program through lateral transfer has taken the courses he/she wants to be exempted from in a language other than the program's language of instruction, whether an exemption will be granted from these courses, the application of the candidate, the approval of the department head and the approval of the institute board of directors. with the decision.
(7) If a student who wishes to be exempted from the courses in which he has been successful in a graduate program before, applies to the institute within fifteen days from the date of final registration to the new program, with the proposal of the head of the department / department and the decision of the institute administrative board, exemption may be granted.
(8) Without prejudice to the provisions specified in the temporary article 1 of the Postgraduate Education and Training Regulation, prepared by YÖK and published in the Official Gazette dated 20/4/2016 and numbered 29690, the education period of the students who come with lateral transfer is calculated by taking the date they registered at the university they came from into account.
(9) If the student who continues a master's program without thesis has a master's degree with thesis of the same program or a master's program with thesis whose equivalence is accepted by the institute, provided that he fulfills the requirements for the relevant program and with the proposal of the head of the department / department and the board of directors of the institute, the student may switch to the program in question. In this case, the courses taken in the non-thesis master's program can be substituted for the courses in the master's program with thesis, upon the proposal of the head of the department / department and the decision of the institute board of directors.
(10) Transition between master's programs with and without thesis is made in accordance with the procedures and principles determined by the Senate.
(11) If the student who is accepted to a doctorate / proficiency in arts program with a bachelor's degree has successfully completed at least seven courses, and if there is a master's degree with thesis of the same program in the institute, he can be transferred to the said program with the proposal of the head of the department / department of art and the decision of the institute board of directors.
(12) The courses taken in certified education programs that are compatible with the ECTS values of the institute-approved courses carried out within the Continuing Education Center and the contents of which are defined are the same as the theoretical courses in the master's programs can be deducted from the total ECTS values of the theoretical courses of the master's program with the adjustment work of the relevant department and the decision of the decision of the institute board of directors with the condition of not exceeding 40% of the total ECTS values.
