Course Objectives: | The aim of this course is to explain to students the effects of image processing on human history and to help students adapt to these technologies by introducing them to basic image processing technologies. Students who complete this course are expected to understand the historical and conceptual development of image processing, the purposes of image processing and the methods used to achieve these goals, the social and economic role of image processing, and to have knowledge about the areas in which image processing methods can be used. |
Course Content: | Image processing overview, purpose of image processing, basic problems, methods of image processing, developments in image processing, applications of image processing in different sectors, social role of image processing, ethics in image processing and prejudices against image processing. |
