Dersin Amaç ve İçeriği

Course Objectives: The purpose of this course is to inform about the basic concepts of Information Technologies and to give the students an understanding of Information Technologies and a usage habit about MS Office programs (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
Course Content: The basic concepts of the Internet; Web Browsers; Search Engines; E-Mail Account Management; News Groups/Forums/Social Networks; Web Based Learning; The Internet and The Career; Word Processing (WORD); Spreadsheet (Excel); Presentation (PowerPoint)

Program Outcomes
1) In the field of Occupational Health and Safety, he/she possesses sufficient knowledge, equipment and know-how to prevent occupational accidents and occupational diseases that may occur in the workplace.
2) He/she has sufficient knowledge in the field of basic sciences and use this knowledge to solve professional problems they are facing.
3) He/she follows, interprets and applies the current legislation on duty, authority, responsibility, rights and obligations in the field of Occupational Health and Safety.
4) OHSAS 18001, ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and other relevant standards and procedures regarding Occupational Health and Safety must be in accordance with and participated in.
5) He/she cooperates with all the units in the business and enables them to participate in the business health and safety related processes.
6) In the field of Occupational Health and Safety, he/she knows the characteristics of warning signs and signs of occupational safety, plans the occupational safety trainings, and uses the necessary measurement techniques and methods, performs registration and reporting activities.
