| With the Law on Occupational Health and Safety No. 6331, partially enacted in 30/06/2012, it became compulsory to employ an occupational safety specialist in all workplaces, regardless of whether they are public or private. In this context, the relevant Law has progressively entered into force in the workplace and continues to enter into force. First, the obligation to employ an occupational safety specialist has entered into force on 01/01/2013 for workplaces located in the less dangerous, dangerous and dangerous class with a workforce of 50 or more. It then entered into force on 01/01/2014 for workplaces in the dangerous and dangerous class with less than 50 employees. It will also enter into force soon for public agencies and workplaces with fewer than 50 employees and in the least dangerous class. In this case, particularly small and medium-sized business due to the high number of business security specialist will further increase the employment in Turkey. In this context, the employer may appoint an occupational safety specialist from among the employees. In addition, if the employer does not have staff with the specified qualifications, the employer may fulfill his obligation to employ a work safety specialist by receiving services from the joint health and safety departments. In other words, job security specialists can be employed in joint health and safety units. Employment of occupational safety experts is increasing because of the increasing number of common health and safety units in this context. In addition, the employer who has documented the safety of work safety can assume the responsibility of fulfilling this service, taking into account the danger class and the number of employees. In this respect, employers may also prefer to receive training in the Occupational Health and Safety Associate Program so that they can fulfill their job security expertise in their workplace. In light of this information, job security experts employment market in Turkey is open to question. Therefore, the employment of a job security specialist will increase even further if the requirement to employ a job security specialist applies to all workplaces. For this reason, the Associate's Degree Program in Occupational Health and Safety is important to be able to respond to the employment security expert mentioned. In addition, this program can be employed by graduates, the Ministry of Family, Labor and Social Services, the Directorate of Occupational Health and Safety Centers and other public organizations. |
