Course Objectives: | The aim of this course is to introduce the basic concepts of international relations, the main actors in the international field, the foreign policy making process and the main actors affecting this process. In this course, the historical evolution of the international community, the basic concepts and theoretical approaches of the field will be examined. |
Course Content: | Theories of international relations, The evolution of the international system will be followed up from the emergence of modern states to the present day, while the points of contribution of the different perspectives from realism to behaviorism, from idealism to critical theory will be examined. The structure, dynamics and functioning of the international system and the roles of actors and actors in this structure, concepts of power, cooperation, competition and conflict will be evaluated. International problems and structures of international organizations and historical development of the international system, the roles taken by the states in the international system will be examined. |
