Course Objectives: | The aim of this course is to introduce different approaches to the definition of political science and to analyze the concepts of power, legitimacy, authority, state and democracy and to apply concepts and theories to concrete political institutions and processes. |
Course Content: | Political science and positivism, definition of political science, relationship with other social sciences, power, legitimacy, sovereignty, state, democracy, participation in political life, forms of participation and political behavior, political parties, bureaucracy, pressure groups-public opinion, selection and selection techniques |
