Course Objectives: |
The aim of this course is to enable interior architect candidates to gain knowledge and application infrastructure for sustainable materials and designs. |
Course Content: |
This course; sustainability, green energy policies, international sustainability certificates, reuse of wastes. In addition, the measures to be taken for a design to be sustainable will also be discussed. Definitions of ecological, economic and social sustainability, sustainable urban design and sustainable building design, analysis of principles, strategies and standards related to sustainable design, examination of sustainable cities and buildings, definition of life cycle assessment methodology, assessment of environmental effects of buildings and building materials in their life cycles, energy , research on water and materials conservation, conservation of natural environments, site planning, urban design, comfortable building design and human health appropriate design, importance of collaboration (owner, tenant, facility management and maintenance providers), certification of sustainable design, LEED green building operations and maintenance (sustainable sites, water efficiency, energy and atmosphere, materials and resources, indoor air quality and innovation). |
