Dersin Amaç ve İçeriği

Course Objectives:	The aim of this course is to provide students with the basic knowledge of chemistry they need to comprehend vocational courses.
Course Content:	In the course content; unit systems and uncertainties in measurements, matter and its properties, atom and its structure, periodic table and its properties, chemical bonds, compounds and formulas, mole concept, chemical reaction types and calculations, gases, solutions, reaction rate and equilibrium, acid-base concept and concentration in solutions Issues related to calculations are included.

1) Refreshes her/his general knowledge about chemistry and knows the contribution of chemistry to her/his profession.
2) Gains knowledge of matter, the structural properties of matter, and the atom and its structure which is the smallest building block of matter.
3) Gains knowledge of the general properties of certain elements in the periodic table.
4) Understands the definition of chemical bond depending on the electron arrangement of atoms.

1) Learn the definition of compound, write and name compounds correctly.
2) Can make simple calculations of specific chemical reactions.
3) Can make stoichiometric calculations.
4) Learns the structure of gases, can make mathematical calculations related to gases.
5) Knows the definitions of reaction rate and equilibrium, can make related mathematical calculations.
