Course Objectives:

Giving general information about orthodontic treatment, recognizing the materials and tools used in orthodontic treatment, comprehending their usage purposes, comprehending disinfection and sterilization methods applied in orthodontics.

Course Content:

Introduction to Orthodontics, Aims of Orthodontics, Placeholders, Diagnosis in Orthodontics, Direct and indirect diagnosis methods in orthodontics, Orthodontic anomalies, terminology, Orthodontic treatment methods, Intraoral removable appliances/Functional appliances/Materials and instruments used, Fixed orthodontic treatments, materials and tools used in fixed orthodontic treatment; Purposes of use, Extraoral appliances, Orthodontic forceps, Disinfection and sterilization methods in orthodontics, Preparation of patient models and files
