Course Objectives: | The aim of this course is to provide the student with the knowledge and skills of care calculations used in pharmacy practice and preparation of magistral drugs. To make pharmaceutical calculations and understand the importance of correct calculations in pharmacy practice, doing patient specific dose calculations. Strengthening students knowledge for the preparation of pharmaceutical dosage forms and the development of advanced formulations as in a pharmacy setting. |
Course Content: | Basics of pharmaceutical calculations, percentage, ratio, measurement systems, concentration expressions, solubility calculations, dilution, measurement tools and their use, dose calculations. |
