Dersin Amaç ve İçeriği

Course Objectives: The aim of this course is to develop visual perception abilities, existing constructive, creative and interpretive abilities and to introduce intuitive and mental discussions, to make them suitable for visual and graphic thinking.
Course Content: With composition, proportion, measure, line, color, stain and perspective studies, the student's ability to create personal expression and express themselves through observation, relationship, distinction and artistic skill. The exploration of the visible world and its exploration and recording in an artistic context, the visual transmission and visibility of the world of ideas, thoughts and dreams, and the development of talent by enabling the transfer and storage of memory and impressions.

Theoretical - Conceptual
1) Student's visual perception abilities; to stimulate and develop existing constructive, creative and interpretive abilities.
2) Aimed to create infrastructure stability by understanding the basics of pattern drawing.
3) To enrich the visual memory of the student by watching and exemplifying the works of the past and living masters.
2 - Skills
Cognitive - Practical
1) To develop the self-confidence by creating the student's personal expression opportunities and expressing themselves through composition, proportion, measure and perspective studies.
2) To provide the students to comprehend the basic forms with their light-shadows and to relate the objects with their dimensions.
3) To learn the line, color and stain to teach the effect, separation and coexistence of different materials with different materials.
4) To prepare the student for the next stage, imaginative thinking and drawing, by developing drawings from inanimate, alive and nature, to provoke imagination by aiming to reach new forms of fiction and expression.
5) Aimed to gain a sense of perspective.

Week Subject Related Preparation
1) Introduction to the Pattern Lesson (aim of the lesson, its importance, history, material definition and explanation of the concept of pattern with visuals) Pre-readings on the subjects Pre-readings on the topics
2) Basic Drawing Techniques (basic composition, choice of subject, placement on paper, proportion-proportion, practice of measuring methods) Pre-readings on the topics
3) Sketch, Study, Sketch, Pattern Concepts and Application Pre-readings on the topics
4) Line work (Using different materials and tools) Pre-readings on the topics
5) To explain the line values by showing the works of past and living masters. Pre-readings on the topics
6) Application of Objects Consisting of Simple Geometric Forms in a Composition Pre-readings on the topics
7) Still Life Object Drawing Practice by Editing Objects Made of Natural-Artificial Objects in a Composition (general evaluation of the works with the participation of students) Pre-readings on the topics
8) MIDTERM EXAM
9) Art of Perspective (definition, concepts and history, types of perspective: perspective with single point of view, drawing rules of perspective with double point of escape, theoretical and practical explanation) Pre-readings on the topics
10) Object Perspective Applications from Inanimate Model Pre-readings on the topics
11) Types of Perspective (three-point perspective, sloping roofs, stairs, roads and paths, curves in perspective, ellipses and eye level, rakursi, reflections and refractions, theoretical and practical explanation of drawing rules) Pre-readings on the topics
12) Perspective Applications (Applications in streets and squares, indoor and outdoor spaces of historical places) Pre-readings on the topics
13) Concepts and History of Tors (measure-proportion and volume in tors drawing, preliminary information for pattern work from live model and preliminary preparations with quick studies) Pre-readings on the topics
14) General Review and General Evaluation (to make general composition studies in a way to evaluate the studies done during the semester as a whole. Pre-readings on the topics
15) FINAL EXAMINATION
