Dersin Amaç ve İçeriği

Course Objectives: Understanding the basic principles of design quality. To develop creative skills by teaching game design principles and techniques.
Course Content: Basic principles and elements of design, composition, perspective, grouping, blocking, color, toning drawing techniques, texture and abstraction.

1) Introduction of basic terms 1.1 Knowledge of tools and materials 1.2. Investigation of basic drawing materials and lines and basic shapes through practice. -
2) Introduction to the basic principles and elements of design 2.1. Introducing the concepts of design and order and entropic order. 2.1.1. Reinforcement of design and layout concepts with applications. 2.2. Introducing the concept of balance. 2.2.1. Reinforcing the concept of balance and motion with practices. -
3) Concepts of form and function in design 3.1 Application of light, shadow and tone values in geometric forms. 3.2. Conversion of amorphous forms, fragments of natural origin objects into graphic design elements 3.3. Drawing from object of artificial origin (prismatic form). -
4) Introducing the relationship between shape and ground and reinforcing it with applications. 4.2. Introducing the principle of closure and integrity and reinforcing it with practices. -
5) Introduction of module, pattern and repetition principles and reinforcement with applications. 5.2. Explaining the difference between texture and pattern. 5.3. Texture work from forms of natural and artificial origin -
6) Introducing the principles of rhythm, symmetry and asymmetry and reinforcing them with applications. 6.2. Introducing the principles of emphasis, size, proportion, similarity, grouping and distance. -

11) Expression (expression) in dark-light and black/white principles and practices. 11.2. Introducing research on opposition and influence. 11.3. Fragment analyzes on samples for light, color and contrast relations -

1) Connects the basic concepts of art and design and has knowledge of the interdisciplinary interaction that his field is related to.
2) Gains the design background related to the field of game design expertise.
3) Produces innovative and creative solutions by gaining the ability to combine the theoretical knowledge acquired for game design with practice.
4) Follows the developments in his field, develops original artistic analyzes by producing rational ideas for current and potential problems.
5) Uses the theoretical and applied knowledge gained in the field of design by providing the integrity of theory and practice.
6) Have the competence to take an active role and responsibility individually and in teamwork.
7) By integrating the knowledge gained in the field of basic design with the competence he/she has with a critical and questioning approach, he/she evaluates them to produce new ideas and gains the awareness of lifelong learning.
