Dersin Amaç ve İçeriği

Course Objectives: The objective of the course is to provide the students with the knowledge to compare the fair play understanding and practices between amateur and professional athletes and to exemplify fair play understanding through behavioral models of athletes.
Course Content: Contents of the course include concept of fair play, its scope and historical development; principles and analysis of fair play ideals; international fair play organizations and their works; problem areas in fair play and development studies; ideal of Olympism and fair play; fair play in amateur and professional sports; behavioral models suitable with the fair play ideal and reference groups responsible for fair play.
