Dersin Amaç ve İçeriği

Course Objectives: This course aims to improve students' visual perception abilities by showing them the methods of reading visual images and the ways of thinking in the creative process of visual images.
Course Content: Selected theoretical texts created within the framework of visual perception will be included in the course, and in this direction, students will be introduced to different theories and concepts. Theoretical presentations will be used not as chronological art history knowledge, but for the purpose of introducing different forms of visual perception created with aesthetic values in different visual arts. Theoretical texts will be exemplified by visual productions such as painting, photography, design, film.

3) Evaluates and analyzes the principles and elements in the visual image (composition, balance, contrast, emphasis, movement, image, repetition, rhythm, unity, closeness, color, form, proportion, symmetry) in accordance with the factors in the visual perception process.
