Dersin Amaç ve İçeriği

Course Objectives: Students in the Civil Aviation Cabin Services Program should be aware of the duties and responsibilities of cabin crew.
Roles and Responsibilities of National and International Authorities: Understanding the roles and responsibilities of various authorities.
Inspections and Procedures: Familiarity with the inspection processes and procedures.
General Directorate of Civil Aviation: Knowledge of the role and responsibilities of the General Directorate of Civil Aviation.
Course Content: National and International Air Law: Air law encompasses national and international regulations related to civil aviation and air traffic management. Key sources include the Chicago Convention and ICAO (International Civil Aviation Organization) standards.
Role and Responsibilities of the National Authority: SHGM
SHGM (General Directorate of Civil Aviation): The authority that regulates and supervises civil aviation in Turkey. Its responsibilities include ensuring air safety, managing air traffic, and enforcing aviation standards.
Cabin Route Inspection
SAFA-SANA-SACA: These systems are used to inspect the safety and standards of aircraft.
SAFA: A safety assessment system implemented in Europe.
SANA: A Turkey-specific inspection system.
SACA: A system for security inspections of aircraft.
Finding Categories and Sanctions
Finding Categories: Security, technical, operational, and environmental findings.
Sanctions: Penalties such as fines, license revocation, or suspension of operations may be applied in case of violations.
Cabin Crew Numbers and Composition
Reduction of Cabin Crew Outside the Base: Reduction of cabin crew numbers for economic reasons.
Inexperienced Cabin Crew: Inexperienced crew members should work alongside experienced personnel.
Customs and Currency Rules: Customs procedures and currency-related rules during flights.
Importance of Keeping Required Documents Up-to-Date
Revision and Currency: It is crucial to keep the documents provided by the operator continuously updated.
Personal Identification Documents and Mandatory Documents
Validity and Communication Language: Required documents and communication language for foreign cabin crew.
Responsibilities of the Cabin Crew During Flight Operations
Emergency Response: The ability of the cabin crew to respond quickly in emergencies.
Importance of Briefing: Pre-flight briefing for the cabin crew.
Responsibilities of the Cabin Manager and Cabin Crew
Duties and Responsibilities: The job descriptions and authorities of the cabin manager and crew members.
Flight and Duty Time Limitations
Rest Requirements: Rest periods and health conditions for cabin crew.

6) Have knowledge about the Turkish and English dictation and announcement techniques in the aircraft cabin, and the level to be able to communicate effectively.
7) have knowledge to do manual demonstrations of safety procedures and equipment of the aircraft before take off.
8) Learns to take precautions about emergencies that may occur in advance, to evacuate when necessary, to fight fire, to survive in water and to save lives, to use emergency supplies on board the aircraft.
9) Have first aid knowledge to do everything right and effectively in the aviation industry.
10) Have knowledge about the dangerous goods regulations (DGR) in civil aviation.
11) Have knowledge about the human factor and Crew Resource Management (CRM) in civil aviation
12) Receive information on Safety awareness (Module 1) and Cockpit cabin safety (Module 7) within the scope of SHT 17 -2.
13) Learns and applies ethical rules related to the profession
14) Learns to use the information received in the field for the benefit of society
15) To be able to follow the basic texts in the field of civil aviation and communicate with colleagues by using a foreign language effectively.
16) Learns and uses aviation terminology used in Basic Aviation
17) Has occupational health and safety awareness and awareness of the legal consequences of their duties.
18) Knows the basic level concepts related to business administration.
19) Learns the duties and responsibilities of the General Directorate of Civil Aviation. DGCA vision and mission will have information about the objectives. Knows the types of audits. Knows the basic level concepts related to business administration.
