Dersin Amaç ve İçeriği

Course Objectives: The aim of this course is to ensure that students get the information about functions, organization and history of political parties. This course analyzes different types of parties and elections, the impact that they have on society and political systems, who runs in elections, how do the voters behave. This course studies the development of political parties, interest groups and electoral systems, emphasizing the analytical component (how and why) in addition to the standard descriptive approach (what).
Course Content: 1- Organization and function of political parties

2- Electoral systems, electoral campaigns and voter behavior (who participates and why?)

3- Effect on interest groups to political parties's agendas and elections.

4- The relationship between democracy and political parties

3) Having to ability to make data collection, analysis and reporting from library and other academic information sources ; make written texts and oral presentations in accordance with academic writing rules in related subjects

5) Gaining the ability to analyze and discuss political, social and economic problems in a specific conceptual framework, which are equipped, nationally and internationally, which will maximize the needs of state and non-state institutions.
