Aim of the Programme

The primary aim of the Tourist Guiding Program is to educate professional tourist guides who can provide information to both domestic and international tourists about the natural and cultural heritage of our country. The program seeks to train qualified tourist guides who are proficient in at least one foreign language, possess a comprehensive knowledge of Turkey’s history, culture, and geography, demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, and exhibit the capacity for analytical thinking.

Within this scope, the Program Educational Objectives of the Tourist Guiding Program are as follows:

To cultivate individuals who are capable of effectively promoting Turkey’s historical, cultural, and geographical richness and providing accurate information to domestic and international tourists,

To equip graduates with the competencies necessary to practice the profession of tourist guiding,

To provide the knowledge and skills required to work not only as tourist guides but also in various sectors of the tourism industry,

To foster graduates who value ethical principles, and possess social and environmental awareness along with a strong sense of responsibility,

To develop individuals who are adaptable to both individual and team work, who think innovatively, and who have an entrepreneurial vision.
