Dersin Amaç ve İçeriği

Course Objectives: The concept of metrology and the notion of geodetic metrology which is reflected in Mapping Engineering is aimed to understand the basic measurement methods, calculations and equipment of the student.
Course Content: Definition of measurement information, history and measurement units. Map and scale. Basic measuring instruments. Measurement errors and their classification. Simple measuring instruments and methods. Spotting points and truths on the ground. Distance measurements. Field accounts. Horizontal and vertical angle measurement methods. Coordinate systems and basic geodetic assignments. Account of the intersection of the points. Poligon plant, measurement and calculations.

1) Learns the necessary units of surveying, conversion calculations between units and scale concept.
2) Learns the necessary units of surveying, conversion calculations between units and scale concept.
3) Learn the concepts of error encountered in measurement processes, how to make mistakes, how to avoid mistakes and corrective calculations of errors.
4) It learns to determine land points and straight lines with simple measuring tools, and to measure lengths.
5) Understand which subjects will be chosen according to the methods of purchase and what needs to be taken into consideration during the measurement depending on the methods.
6) Depending on the method of acquisition, the field calculations are learned.
7) How to measure the angles by using the line method in the horizontal angle measurement, calculate the average of the line by using the zero reduction calculations, calculate the vertical angle readings and find the vertical angle by calculating the correction values.

9) Learns the orthogonal coordinate system and polar coordinate system used in cartography.
10) 4 basic homeworks are learned and reinforced with numerical examples.
11) Learns the classification of polygon transitions, polygon tricks, polygon facilities, materials to be used as polygons, and points of interest, polygon views and polygon measurements
12) Learns operations related to open, closed and closed polygon accounts according to the technique.
