Course Objectives: | In this class, concepts of identity, citizenship and democracy will be analyzed in the context of political and social theory. The relationship of these three concepts with each other and with other fundamental issues of politics such as rights and justice will be emphasized. With this course, it is aimed to develop analytical interpretation, critical thinking and idea generation skills about the place of these concepts, which are one of the main problems of politics, in today's world. |
Course Content: | 1- Discussion about identity and citizenship through political theory 2- Human rights and justice will be scrutinized in relation to the concepts above 3- The relationship between democracy, citizenship and identity politics will be critically examined |
