Aim of the Programme

The English Translation and Interpreting Bachelor's Program is designed to equip students with proficiency in the English language as well as skills in translation and interpretation. The primary goal of this program is to prepare students to work professionally as translators (written) and interpreters (spoken). The curriculum focuses on developing students' abilities to translate between English and Turkish, enhance their grammar and vocabulary, perform text analysis, and use appropriate styles in translation.

Additionally, the program offers opportunities for specialization in various fields such as medicine, law, technology, and literature, enabling students to develop expertise in translating texts within specific domains.

The English Translation and Interpreting Bachelor's Program also emphasizes understanding cultural differences and enhancing intercultural communication skills. This highlights that language is not just about words and grammar but also about cultural context. The program aims to teach students how to perform translations and interpretations that align with different cultural norms and communication styles.
